Mission Alliance is seeking a Senior Education Advisor to join our team at the Monrovia, Liberia country office.
The Liberia Country Office is responsible for Mission Alliances community development work and has for the last years focused on literacy programmes combined with financial inclusion efforts. Our aim is to expand our portfolio and impact in Liberia over the coming years.
Our work is supported by private donors in Norway and Norad. We're seeking a Senior Education Advisor experienced in development- and education programming, dedicated to enhancing Mission Alliance's work in Liberia, while embracing our Christian values and mission.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Overseeing, developing and ensuring quality of the programme portfolio
- Providing technical advice on educational related programming
- Support program development and partnership.
- Work closely together with national and international colleagues.
- Participate in relevant technical working groups and support the Ministry of education
- Build partner and country office competence.
- Contribute to reporting and compliance.
Key Qualifications:
- Master`s degree in education, development studies or related fields.
- At least five years of field experience.
- Experience in curriculum development, adult education and adult literacy is preferred.
- Experience in proposal writing, program design, and monitoring.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cross-cultural competence, and English proficiency.
- Ability to mentor and provide technical support.
- Analytical and relational skills are essential.

Job location: Monrovia, Liberia
ENVOY
Employment for a minimum of four years. Salary and pension schemes according to the Mission Alliance's regulations. Envoys are initiated as emissaries in their own congregation. Couples can apply and based on organizational needs and competence be offered a 50-100% position.
